How to embed customer feedback on your website
Step-by-step guide to adding a website feedback widget with KogniFeed. Collect in-context UX friction with the same analysis as link-based studies.
1. Create the study
In the admin builder, start from the website pulse template or describe what you want to learn about a page or flow. Keep objectives short so sessions stay under seven minutes.
2. Set origins and branding
Add your production and staging domains to the allowed origin list. Upload logo, set welcome copy, and pick colors in Appearance so the launcher feels native.
3. Install the embed
Copy the embed snippet from publish settings. Place it before the closing body tag on pages where feedback matters — pricing, checkout, onboarding, or docs.
4. Launch from a control
Point the widget at a Feedback button or existing help control via CSS selector. Visitors open chat on demand; nothing blocks first paint.
5. Read signals weekly
Filter analysis by date and theme. Share top friction quotes with design and engineering. Rerun the same study after fixes ship to compare periods.
